A major part of the documentary on the Spitfire conversion of Sheik deals with his training in the backseat of a Harvard as a simulation of the limited forward visibility when flying the Spitfire. In order to support that part with on-board footage someone had to volunteer to step in the backseat and film while Sheik did several practice approaches. After some long and hard thinking I decided it was best done by........ ME! So on a sunny Sunday in October I found myself in the air with the former Dutch F-16 demo pilot. What a way to spend a Sunday!
